Madhya Pradesh Ecotourism Development Board is an autonomous organization in the forest department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The Board was constituted in July 2005 for the promotion and development of ecotourism as a mainstream program of the Forest Department

Bhimbetka was discovered very late in 1957 by Dr. Vishnu Wakankar, and they earned the honour of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003
They are located about 45 km south of Bhopal in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Bhimbetka is derived from 'Bhimbethka' meaning the sitting place of Bhima from Mahabharata.

Bhimbetka has 760 caves, 500 have paintings. Some of these paintings are reported to be as old as 15,000 years.

Gwalior Fort is an 8th-century hill fort near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, central India. The fort consists of a defensive structure and two main palaces, Gujari Mahal and Man Mandir, built by Man Singh Tomar.

The kingdom of Avanti comprised the area around the present day Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh and roughly corresponded to the present day Malwa region.

Ashoka was an Indian emperor of the Maurya Dynasty, who ruled almost all of the Indian subcontinent from c. 268 to 232 BCE.

Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary was established in 1974, is a wildlife sanctuary situated on the northern boundary of Mandsaur and Nimach districts in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is spread over an area of 368.62 km2 (142.32 sq mi) adjoining Rajasthan state in India.

The Ken River originates near village Ahirgawan on the north-west slopes of Kaimur Range in Jabalpur district and travels a distance of 427 km, before merging with the Yamuna at Chilla village, near Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh.

The Chachai Waterfall is the 23rd highest waterfall in India. The Chachai Falls is on the Beehar River, a tributary of Tamsa or Tons River as it comes down from the Rewa Plateau. It has a total height of 130 meters (430 feets). It is situated 46 kilometers from Rewa, at the edge of the Chitrakoot Hills, a part of the Kaimoor Range.

Govindgarh Lake is one of the famous lakes situated in the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh.
The lake is situated at a distance of thirteen kilometre from the main city of Rewa.

Chaturbhuj Nath Temple is 700 years old and situated in Rajgarh

The Khajuraho Group of Monuments is a group of Hindu and Jain temples in Madhya Pradesh, India, about 175 kilometres southeast of Jhansi.The temples of Khajuraho were commissioned by the Rajput rulers of Chandella Dynasty who ruled over central India from the 10th to the 13th Century CE.
They are one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India.There are about 25 temples spread over an area of approximately 6 square Km.

The Upper Lake is famed as 'Bada Talab', built by Raja Bhoj in 11th century.To the east of Upper Lake is the 'Chota Talaab', The Lower Lake which was constructed by Nawab Haya Mohammad Khan in 1794.

Chaturbhuj Temple, dedicated to Vishnu, is situated at Orchha in Madhya Pradesh, India.

Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar (A Central University), formerly University of Sagar, was established on 18th July 1946 by Dr. Sir Hari Singh Gour (Nov. 26, 1870 – Dec. 25, 1949). by his lifetime saving. This 18th University of India and the oldest and the biggest University of Madhya Pradesh.

Dr. Gour was the founder Vice–Chancellor of the Sagar University (1946). The Govt. of India honored his memory by issuing a commemorative postage stamp in 1976.
