In the Bhopal disaster on the night of December 2-3, 1984, when about 42,000 kg of methyl isocyanate (MIC, CH3 NCO) and other poisonous gases were released from underground reservoirs of Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) Pesticide Plant.
Then more than 500,000 people came in contact with methyl isocyanate (MIC) gas and other chemicals. And immediately killed thousands.

Mandla Plant Fossils National Park is located in the Mandla district of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The Park has fossil forms that existed in India between 40 million and 150 million years ago.

Total area of the park is about 0.27 Km2. It was declared as a National Park in the year of 1983.

The dam has been named Bansagar in honor of renowned Sanskrit scholar Bana Bhatta in 7th century who belonged to this area.

Itarsi Junctionis a railway station in Hoshangabad District in Madhya Pradesh which passes more than 330 trains through it. It falls under the West Central Railway zone of Indian Railways network.

Madhya Pradesh have 51 districts and 10 divisions.

Narmadapuram Division was formally inaugurated as 10^th division of Madhya Pradesh, on 27 August 2008. It comprises Hoshangabad, Harda, and Betul districts.

Vedh Shala/Jantar Mantar is located in the city of Ujjain. It is an observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II in 1725 which consists of 13 architectural astronomy instruments.

It was constructed with the aim of measuring local time, altitude (of the place) and also to measure declination of the Sun, stars and planets and to determine eclipses. Motion, speed and properties of stars and planets were also recorded using several special instruments.

FAIR OF MAHAMRITYUNJAY : There is a temple of Mahamrityunjay in Rewa where fairs are held every year on Basant Panchami and Shivratri.

Songs sung by the young girls in group, of the Malwa region, Sanjha is a traditional melodious and haunting form of folk music. Idols of Sanja made from cowdung and decorated with leafs and flowers are worshipped by the girls during the evening hours along with singing of sanja songs to invoke prosperity and happiness.
